Key Points Full Compliance with Import/ Export Regulations in APAC Internal & External Stakeholders Management About Our Client Our client is a globally recognised Retail company with long history and great reputation. They are looking for a Trade Compliance Manager to manage their Trade Operations in APAC. Job Description Develop and implement regional trade compliance strategies and controls to ensure regulatory adherence. Monitor and interpret changes in trade laws and customs regulations, assessing their impact and advising stakeholders. Oversee documentation and licensing requirements for the movement of goods, including controlled items. Identify potential compliance risks and implement mitigation measures, escalating issues as needed. Support new market entries, distribution models, and e-commerce channels through compliance assessments. Collaborate with internal teams not limited to Logistics, Retail, Legal, IT to align on compliance protocols. Ensure accurate product classification, valuation, and country of origin determination using global trade systems. Leverage Free Trade Agreements and other opportunities to enhance cost-effective and compliant trade flows. Deliver training and guidance to regional and local teams to embed compliance into daily operations. The Successful Applicant Bachelor Degree Holder Minimum 10 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably within retail, consulting, or logistics sectors. Strong expertise in APAC customs regulations, import/export controls, product classification, and bonded warehouse operations. Proven ability to manage complex regulatory environments and multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working with government agencies and customs authorities. Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of navigating ambiguity with confidence.
