Middleware Lead Engineer (Perm, up to 130k) About the company: The hiring company is a well established financial institution and looking for Middleware Lead Engineer to architect the backbone of the next-generation investment and trading platforms. You will drive the design and development of the distributed systems, ensuring that the microservices governance, messaging fabrics, and data storage layers meet the rigorous demands of high-volume financial transaction processing. Responsibilities Lead the design and optimization of microservice governance frameworks (Spring Cloud) and RPC mechanisms. Define the roadmap for middleware selection to ensure high availability (HA), scalability, and zero-trust security. Oversee the customization and performance tuning of the Spring ecosystem (Boot/Cloud). Deeply analyze and optimize RPC communication and message transmission efficiency to guarantee data consistency across distributed systems. Architect efficient storage solutions balancing cost and performance using RDB (MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis, MongoDB, ElasticSearch). Design robust messaging pipelines using Kafka/RabbitMQ to handle peak market volatility. Champion the stability of the production environment. Orchestrate integrated deployment, monitoring, alerting, and emergency response protocols to minimize downtime. Stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing emerging technologies (ServiceMesh, Sidecar, eBPF) to future-proof the platform. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. 12+ years of software development experience, with a minimum of 6 years dedicated to middleware or distributed system architecture. Proven track record designing large-scale systems within Investment Banking, Trading Platforms, or Crypto Marketplaces. Expert-level mastery of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RPC frameworks (Dubbo). Deep expertise in Kafka, RabbitMQ, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch. Proficiency with K8s, Kong API Gateway, and configuration centers (Nacos/Apollo). Strong understanding of etcd and Zookeeper; familiarity with ServiceMesh/Sidecar patterns is highly desirable.
