Associate Director, Corporate Sales

Overview Associate Director, Corporate Sales role at Standard Chartered . This is a Financial Markets Sales role covering corporate clients. Responsibilities Develop a thorough understanding of each allocated customer’s business and potential needs for Financial Markets products through regular liaison with SCB’s principal Relationship Manager for each customer (e.g., Corporate, GAM), and direct contact with the customer. Establish and maintain a constructive relationship with the decision maker(s) for Financial Markets products for each allocated customer through regular calls, visits, entertainment, etc., with the objective that the customers place SCB on their priority. Respond promptly to customer requests for a specific transaction, general advice, or an introduction to a more appropriate SCB contact, regardless of whether the request comes from the allocated group of customers. Liaise with product traders to analyse quotation acceptance ratios and gather customer feedback on competing quotations to inform pricing decisions. Liaise with Operations on customer feedback about service delivery to seek improvements where needed from the customer’s perspective. Collaborate with RMs and SCB product specialists in regions with potential clients to exchange information, introduce customers to SCB products, and contribute to regional or global customer databases. Work with RMs and product specialists to explore client needs, address concerns, deliver suitable services and products, and gain greater market share for SCB. Monitor customers’ trading limits, obtain approvals for excesses when necessary, and alert coverage/GAM if higher limits could lead to more profitable Treasury business. Manage risk and compliance as part of the role and take personal responsibility for understanding risk and compliance requirements. Embed operational risk management and reporting as an integral part of the business process.
