Investment Banking Division – First-Year Analyst As the international business arm of GF Securities Co., Ltd.—one of China’s top-tier, full-service investment banks with a rapidly expanding global footprint—our Hong Kong Investment Banking Division advises clients on landmark cross-border transactions through five specialized teams: Sector Team: Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Sector Team: Consumer ECM Why Join Our Analyst Program? Intern-to-Analyst Bridge. Before the full-time start, you spend 1–3 months as an intern. This lets you “test-drive” investment banking, contribute to real projects and confirm the career is right for you before formally entering the Analyst class. Early exposure to high-profile deals. Observe and assist on IPO, spin-off and M&A projects from day one, working closely with senior bankers. On-the-job Training & Real-time Coaching. Learn side-by-side with Associates, VPs and MDs while building models, drafting filings and joining client meetings. One-on-One Mentoring. Partner with a senior banker who has executed multi-billion-dollar IPOs, M&As and private placements. Fast-Track Career Path. High performers are eligible for promotion to Associate in 2 years, subject to merit-based reviews and business need. What You Will Do Build and maintain DCF, merger and other valuation models. Draft pitch books, prospectuses, diligence reports and investor presentations. Perform industry, company and comparable analysis for TMT, Healthcare, Consumer or Industrial clients. Track market moves and investor sentiment. Gather investor orders and help set the final price for IPOs or other share offerings. Keep in touch with key investors and set up roadshows, one-on-ones and conference calls during each deal. Coordinate lawyers, accountants and regulators to keep transactions on schedule. Prepare internal memos for risk, pricing and investment committees. Candidate Profile Must-Have Master’s degree already completed in 2025 or expected in 2026 from a reputable university. A minimum GPA of 3.3/4.0 (or equivalent). Any major is welcome. For Sector Teams we especially value backgrounds in Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other quantitative/technical disciplines. Demonstrated passion for Investment Banking. Exceptional analytical ability, numerical accuracy, and attention to detail. Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills—able to build rapport with clients and convey complex ideas clearly. Strong in time management & multitasking. Team players with strong business acumen and excellent analytical skills. Languages: full professional proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written). Nice-to-Have Internship experience in investment banking, PE/VC, strategy consulting or a Big 4 firm. Familiarity with VBA, Python or SQL for data analysis/automation. Leadership in student societies, case competitions or research projects. Active engagement in social-responsibility or community-service activities—e.g., volunteering or charitable fundraising.
