Add expected salary to your profile for insights Company: Chinasoft InternationalEmployment Type: Full-time, 12 month renewable contractWork Location: On-site at a Leading Telecommunications and Technology Provider Overview Chinasoft International is hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Data Architect / Data Engineer to join an enterprise-level Data Warehouse & ETL Pipeline team at a well-established technology and telecom enterprise in Hong Kong. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support troubleshooting, data integrity assurance, and continuous improvement of data architecture and pipelines. The successful candidate will also contribute to the design, optimization, and documentation of data flows, data models, and end-to-end integration strategies across upstream and downstream systems. Key Responsibilities Translate pipeline requirements into technical data pipeline designs by working closely with stakeholders including architects, developers, data users, data providers, and business users Contribute to business use case development, including requirements gathering and validation workshops; align stakeholder expectations and address user concerns efficiently Design and model ETL pipeline structures, including data storage, integration, reconciliation, and exception handling with strong traceability Document technical specifications for both functional and non-functional requirements Design scalable data models/platforms to support future growth while minimizing risk and cost associated with platform changes Analyze and assess new data sources for integration using structured data quality assessment methods Bridge the gap between business logic and ETL implementation by resolving data discrepancies and delivering scalable solutions Support SSAS multi-dimensional model design and ensure integration with Power BI best practices Implement best practices for migrating Power BI data models to SSAS Manage secure Oracle database connections to SSAS servers using SSL certificates (non-ODBC) Monitor, version control, and deploy SSAS models across development, testing, and production environments Perform performance tuning and health monitoring for SSAS models Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including 2 years in data migration or data warehouse pipeline projects At least 3 years of hands‑on SQL development experience with Oracle or SQL Server In-depth technical understanding of master data, transactional data, and data warehousing principles (quality metrics, modeling, and architecture) Strong experience with PL/SQL and SQL DDL/DML scripting Knowledge of Hadoop , Python , Java Spring Boot , Docker , or OCP is a plus Experience with Power BI , especially in using data objects, report objects, and service objects across different scenarios Solid understanding of star schema , snowflake schema , and dimensional modeling Proficient in Power BI row‑level security and rendering reports using JSON API data services Familiarity with Power Query M scripting is an advantage Strong skills in using SSAS multi‑dimensional models as a Power BI data source Good communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) Proactive mindset with strong problem‑solving and multitasking capabilities Willingness to travel Unlock job insights Salary match Number of applicants Skills match Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Hong Kong?
