You are humble and prioritize the success of the team over your own with an eagerness to help those around you You don't shy away from challenges and have the ability to bounce back from setbacks What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role Design, update, and implement credit risk policies, procedures, and guidelines to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Establish and maintain a governance framework for credit risk, including risk appetite statements, limits, and monitoring mechanisms Oversee the identification, measurement, and reporting of credit risk exposures Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices, collaborating with internal audit, compliance, and external regulators as needed Work closely with business units and risk committees to align credit risk strategies with the bank's overall objectives Monitor credit portfolio performance, identifying trends, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement, and presenting findings to senior management Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports, dashboards, and recommendations to senior management and risk committees Drive initiatives to enhance credit risk systems, tools, and processes, leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies where applicable Liaise with regulators and auditors to provide explanations and clarification on the Bank’s adopted credit risk practices What Is Required And What We’re Looking For Degree holder or above in Finance, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics, or a related field Minimum 8 years of experience in banking industry with credit risk management of retail lending business Experienced in credit risk analysis and policy formulation Sound knowledge in personal loan credit risk management is preferable Able to work in a dynamic and multinational culture and cope with high pressure Strong senses of risk control and management Hands on experience in modeling and programming is preferred Ability to build effective relationships and liaise effectively with key business areas and management at all levels of the organization Experience in the latest industry development such as understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques will be an advantage Candidates with less experience can be considered as Manager WeLab Perks Competitive salary Learning and development stipend, because we value lifelong learning and believe the best way to invest in our employees is to encourage them to continue to learn Work hard and laugh lots with a high-performing, fun and diverse team Weekly afternoon teas and fully stocked fridge Coffee stipend Conveniently located office surrounded by diverse and delicious lunch options Lively office with gaming consoles and a ping pong table Fun extracurricular activities with your colleagues Employee referral bonuses WeLab’s Awards & Recognitions Asia Banking Finance Retail Banking Awards: Virtual Bank of the Year - Hong Kong CNBC Disruptor 50: the only Hong Kong-based company on the list Financial Times Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies: #2 in ranking The Chinese University of Hong Kong “Corporate Innovation Index”: #1 in ranking We offer competitive salary package to the successful candidate.
