The MRDI is looking for a dynamic and high-calibre professional to fill the position of Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance (Semiconductor FAB) . Job Responsibilities Responsible for daily maintenance, inspection, and repair of factory equipment and facilities to ensure uninterrupted production operations. Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) plans to improve equipment reliability. Assist in monitoring and maintaining Facility Monitoring and Control Systems (FMCS), automation control systems, and related equipment. Participate in equipment upgrades and system integration projects, providing technical support and improvement recommendations. Respond to emergencies and work closely with the safety team to resolve issues. Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment maintenance, and maintain documentation and records to support ISO 9001 certification and renewal. Assist in preparing annual maintenance and improvement budgets, and conduct cost-effectiveness evaluations. Train and mentor new employees to enhance team skills and knowledge. Perform administrative support and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Automation, or related disciplines. Minimum three years of experience in equipment maintenance or engineering; experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industries is preferred. Familiar with PLC and DCS programming and related software (e.g., Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, AB, WinCC/Intouch, iFIX). Ability to read and draft electrical schematics and control diagrams; proficient in AutoCAD. Strong skills in fault analysis and problem-solving, with the ability to prevent and handle unexpected situations effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations; possession of relevant safety certificates or cleanroom operation experience is an advantage. Willingness to work shifts and be on standby for emergency response. Good command in English and Chinese (both Putonghua and Cantonese). Note: Candidate with more experience will also be considered for senior position. The initial employment contract spans 12 months and can be renewed with a longer tenure upon mutual agreement of the incumbent and MRDI. The incumbent will normally work five days a week. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A gratuity of 15% of the salary will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the contract.
