This role is critical in overseeing debt recovery operations, managing credit risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team and collaborate across departments to safeguard the bank’s financial health and support sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise credit control operations and staff performance Oversee debt recovery for arrears, problem, and delinquent accounts Develop and implement effective collection strategies Negotiate repayment plans and coordinate legal recovery actions Liaise with regulatory bodies and official bureaus (e.g. HKMA, Official Receiver) Collaborate with Risk Management to align credit control with overall risk posture Review credit data and advise on limits, terms, and collection strategies Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards Prepare reports on receivables, collections, and bad debt provisions Assess and manage collateral valuation and documentation Monitor provisioning for bad debts and attend court hearings when required Communicate credit terms and expectations with customers Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Requirements Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline Minimum 9 years of solid experience in the leasing or banking industry Strong knowledge of financial analysis and credit control practices Proven leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills High integrity, initiative, and ability to work independently and as a team player Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Putonghua is an advantage) What We Offer Leadership opportunity in a strategic risk function Collaborative and ethical work environment Competitive compensation and benefits Exposure to cross-functional projects and senior management For experienced candidates, we can offer Head of Credit Control More senior candidates may be considered for the Head of Credit Control role If you are a proactive leader with a passion for credit risk and recovery, we invite you to apply and join our dynamic team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
