Senior Accounting Officer II – Accounts Receivable and Income Caritas - Hong Kong is a Catholic charitable agency which provides, among others, multi-service social welfare/ services to needy people of Hong Kong. The Finance Office is looking for responsible and industrious candidates for the following position. Supported by a small team, the incumbent will work under the supervision of Accounting Supervisor (AS) for Accounts Receivable duties. Key Responsibilities Assist AS in supervising the work of Accounting Officers and other subordinates to oversee the daily accounts receivable operation; Coordinate income operation of various business units via various receipt systems; Issue debit notes to various business units/projects as and when required; Keep proper accounting of transactions to ensure all income transactions are checked, supported and recorded, and properly approved; Assist in month-end and year-end closing, and any individual audit where necessary; Liaise with internal and external parties on accounting matters; Assist to streamline financial processes with the help of technologies; Participate in fundraising activities (e.g., Caritas Bazaar); and Perform other ad hoc assignments when required. Requirements Degree/ Higher Diploma in Accounting/ Business Management/ Commerce or equivalent with relevant work experience (no less than 2 years and 5 years for degree holder and higher diploma holder, respectively); Familiar with major ERP Systems is an advantage but not essential; Proficient in MS Office (Excel & Word) and Chinese Word Processing; Detail-oriented and self-motivated with can-do attitude, good team player, able to work independently and under pressure with tight deadline, hard-working, well organized, eager to learn, flexible and patient; and Immediate availability is highly preferred. Work Location: Caine Road, Mid-Levels Salary: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Contract: A 1-year full-time contract will be offered with subsequent contract renewal based on performance.
