Freelance Sub-Editor, Specialist Publications Edit and rewrite copy for the Post’s various Specialist Publications titles, in print and online. Be responsible for correct grammar, spelling, application of house style and tone of the published work. Ensure that copy is factually correct and that it suits the target audience. Ensure online copy and headlines are optimised for reach, identifying relevant keywords using tools such as Google Trends, AI or other platforms. Optimise print layouts and page furniture for impact. Edit social media captions, source editorial materials, curate metadata. Be able to work across a range of projects, including online features, glossy magazines, pull-outs and broadsheet articles. Skills and Experience that will lead to success: Degree in English, Communications or a related field. A minimum of three years’ experience editing professionally in English. Proficiency in content management systems, digital publishing software such as Adobe InDesign and basic use of AI tools. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience of editing lifestyle, luxury or culture content is preferable.
