Saint Too Bloom Academy is a new secondary school in Hong Kong dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship, and bilingual education. Designed by a team of passionate educators, engineers, and entrepreneurs, our mission is to prepare young people to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Since the establishment of our sister school, Bloom KKCA Academy, in 2021, we have pioneered bilingual, interdisciplinary, and project-based learning, forming partnerships across education, business, and social innovation sectors. In 2024, we expanded to our secondary campus, offering Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programs alongside a school-based Key Stage 3 curriculum. We have since launched two additional pathways—the HKDSE and a US-accredited project-based pathway—to serve diverse learners. Position Overview Saint Too Bloom Academy seeks a passionate, forward-thinking Secondary Art & Design Teacher who brings both artistic expertise and an entrepreneurial, future-ready mindset. The ideal candidate is an inspired educator who sees art and design not only as academic disciplines, but as powerful ways for young people to understand themselves, communicate meaningfully, and shape the world around them. The successful candidate will be able to guide students confidently through IGCSE Art & Design and demonstrate a strong track record of preparing senior cohorts for external examinations. At the same time, as a school that emphasizes creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, we seek someone who can also teach or coach in areas such as visual storytelling, digital illustration, graphic design, product design , and creative media for projects across our Entrepreneurship program and STEAM Studios (including game design). Key Responsibilities Teach Art & Design to students in Grades 7–12, with a strong emphasis on IGCSE preparation and exam-readiness. Deliver engaging instruction in drawing, painting, design principles, and mixed media, incorporating both Eastern and Western traditions. Teach or support units in digital design, visual storytelling, photography, or creative media . Collaborate with the Entrepreneurship Program on product design, branding, and visual communication for student ventures. Contribute design expertise to STEAM Studios , including game design and interdisciplinary creative projects. Support exhibitions, portfolio development, and school-wide arts events. Design and deliver a coherent, high-quality curriculum aligned with the UK Art & Design syllabus. Guide students in developing rigorous process portfolios and final pieces, providing constructive critique and clear support throughout the exam cycle. Maintain strong assessment and documentation practices, including records of student learning, progress, and portfolio development. Person Specification Successful experience preparing students for IGCSE Art & Design examinations. Strong skills in both traditional fine arts and digital media tools. Ability to work across disciplines—art, innovation, entrepreneurship, and STEAM. Warm, engaging, student-centered teaching style. Commitment to creativity, collaboration, and positive education. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Visual Art/ Fine Art or Art and Design related certificates. Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Art and Design. Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Teaching License). Fluency in both oral and written English and Mandarin. Must be creative, passionate, patient, friendly, responsible, energetic and LOVE working with children. Skillful in Sketching, Watercolor, Acrylic, Colored Pencil, Pastel is necessary. Self-motivated, flexible and able to work independently. Having a pleasant personality and enjoying interacting with people of all ages. Pass all criminal background checks.
