Responsibilities The IT Application Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and evolution of both legacy and modern applications within the organization, with a particular focus on Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). As a technical expert, the specialist provides hands‑on support, troubleshooting, and guidance to end‑users, ensuring optimal system performance and alignment with business needs. The Application Specialist collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams including IT support (L1/L2), business stakeholders, and regional application team to resolve incidents, implement enhancements, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role is instrumental in bridging operational requirements with technical solutions, contributing to the long‑term digital transformation strategy. Application Development & Support Serves as a technical bridge between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring the smooth operation, support, and evolution of existing applications, while collaborating on enhancements and new development initiatives. Partner with the regional application team to contribute to the design, testing, and rollout of new application features and digital transformation projects. Provide hands‑on support for legacy and modern applications, especially Lab Information Management System, ensuring system stability and performance. Develops and maintains automated workflows using Power Automate to meet business needs, ensuring secure and efficient process execution. Keep abreast of the latest software updates, system enhancements, and industry best practices to ensure optimal support delivery and suggest improvements to existing workflows. System Adoption & Training Support adoption of Global processes, procedures, and operating standards within Application space. Support and occasionally provide training of users to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of the processes, applications and systems they operate in. Assist in identifying main risks and propose mitigations in the applications where possible. Ensure compliance with Fugro and legal standards. Operational Efficiency In all aspects ensure, where applicable, efficient working practices that will contribute and assist in the ability of meeting cost saving targets and improved quality & delivery times in addition to maximizing system capabilities to optimize their productivity. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines. 3 - 8 years of relevant experience in TypeScript, including types, interfaces, classes, and modules. Able to solve issues for the internal customer and satisfy business need with a service‑minded approach. Willing to continuously develop knowledge about the functional domain. Be the expert that supports colleagues in achieving their business goals. Accountability and ownership of tasks and outcomes. Good communication and engagement with internal stakeholders at all levels. Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English.
