The company is driven to advance respiratory healthcare through partnerships with academic institutions, pharmaceutical firms, and clinical networks. Applications are invited for appointment as Vice President (Research and Development) in C2iTech, to commence as soon as possible, on a three‑year fixed‑term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree, preferably in biomedical sciences, or a related discipline, with a strong focus on translational research and organoid culture platforms. Candidates must have proven experience in translational research and commercialization, including conduct successful development and management of a start‑up company. Demonstrated expertise in organoid cell culture and automated cell culture platforms maintenance and development is essential. Strong leadership experience with a track record of managing a start‑up company research and development program and mentoring junior staff is required. Additionally, applicants should possess excellent interpersonal skills for communicating complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences with strong problem‑solving and communication skills, and an excellent command of written and spoken English, Mandarina, and Cantonese. The appointee will lead the research and development teams to conduct various projects in research and development on advanced organoid culture platforms and translational application. Additional responsibilities include collaborating closely with the commercialization team to drive translational research, and operational implementation. Preference will be given to those with a proven track record in drafting patents and contributing to intellectual property development. The appointee will also establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and provide strategic guidance to ensure successful translational and commercial project outcomes. The appointee will work under the supervision of Professor Michael Chan (Chief Executive Officer of C2iTech) on multidisciplinary research, development and marketing projects.
