Position Description Reporting to the Quality Manager, the AQM will take up the duties of QA functions and lead the respective QA teams. What You’ll Do Internal safety & quality audits – Manage, lead, conduct and report internal safety and quality audits in accordance with the audit programme and follow up on corrective and preventive actions with the auditees. External audits by aviation authorities / customers – Manage external audits from aviation authorities, customers and certification/accreditation bodies, coordinating planning, logistics, activities, reports and follow‑up actions with external parties and internal stakeholders. Approval application and renewal process – Liaise with aviation authorities / customers in the approval application, change and renewal process. Event investigation – Manage, lead, perform and report event investigations and follow up on recommended actions with stakeholders. Company procedure manuals review and writing – Manage, lead and perform procedure review and writing. Supplier approval process – Review QMS information provided by suppliers, evaluate suppliers’ QMS, make recommendations for approvals and perform supplier audits. Verification of capability assessment – Verify the adequacy and correctness of capability assessment documents submitted by production departments. Conduct vendor and HAECO Group company audits when assigned. QA support to production and support departments – Provide support, advice, consultancy and training in safety and quality related matters. Authorisation of certifying staff and maintenance staff – Assess the qualification of authorisation candidates, perform competence assessments and recommend issuance of authorisations. Management and processing of SMS and QMS tasks in IT applications. Safety Review Panel Meeting – Assist the Quality Manager in data collection, analysis, reporting and presentation in SRP meetings. Safety Action Group Meeting – Assist the Quality Manager in administering SAG meetings of respective areas. Projects – Act as project leader or assist GMQ/QM in company‑wide projects, KPI projects, CoE projects, etc. CoE activities – Act as leader or team member in CoE activities. HAECO Group supporting activities – Compile safety and quality monthly reports for the Board of Directors, compile half‑yearly reports for the Audit Committee of the Board, perform Group safety and quality data analysis and prepare presentations, papers and reports for the Group QA Meeting, etc. Coordinate publication of safety and quality promotion materials. Supervisory role in team tasks – Manage working teams and team tasks. Management role in assisting the Quality Manager – Assist in administration of the assigned team and delegated or deputised tasks. What You’ll Need Technical and other Relevant Experience Holder of an academic degree, associate or higher diploma. Or, holder of an aircraft maintenance licence, maintenance authorisation or design authorisation. Or, in lieu of the above qualification, a candidate with 7 years of experience in airline engineering, aircraft, engine or component maintenance organisation may be considered. 7 years of experience in airline engineering, aircraft, engine or component maintenance organisation. Qualifications And Other Relevant Knowledge Working knowledge, experience and track record in safety and quality assurance in aircraft maintenance. Good proficiency in speaking and writing English. Resources management and planning skills. Teamwork, decision‑making and leadership skills. Knowledge and application of aviation legislations and regulatory requirements. Knowledge and application of procedures of maintenance organisations. Knowledge and application of quality system requirements of maintenance organisations. Knowledge and application of aviation safety management system requirements. Knowledge and application of auditing skills (e.g. questioning skills, judgement of compliance vs. non‑compliance, handling of conflicts). Knowledge and application of investigation skills (e.g. human factors references, Boeing MEDA, James Reason’s references, Swiss Cheese, Just Policy). Problem‑solving skills. Knowledge and application of quality management system standard (e.g. ISO 9001) and quality management tools (e.g. PDCA, process approach, QA, QC, SPC, 4M+1E, Cause & Effect Analysis (Fish bone)). Knowledge and application of quality improvement tools (e.g. Six Sigma). Knowledge and application of personal management tools (e.g. 7 Habits, Leadership by Giuliani – Bruce’s story “Preparedness”).
