Senior Specialist / Specialist (Teaching & Learning Support) (Temporary Appointment) (two posts) (Ref. ) Join to apply for the Senior Specialist / Specialist (Teaching & Learning Support) role (temporary, two posts, each for twelve months) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University . Duties Support setup, maintenance, integration, and troubleshooting of Learning Management System (LMS) and various IT systems and applications related to Teaching and Learning (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom, Turnitin, etc.). Provide consultation and assistance to University staff and students on IT and teaching and learning support tools via hotlines and other established channels. Handle user requests and provide technical support to application users. Maintain web and server‑to‑server applications, including LTI integration, programming, testing, implementation, and other related support services. Perform data collection, analysis, and programming support for teaching and learning data. Perform data integration, ETL, and data mapping activities. Prepare documentation, including functional/technical specifications and user guides for applications. Develop and deliver training sessions or workshops focused on teaching and learning applications. Provide non‑office-hour standby/emergency support duties as and when required. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates. Qualifications Have a recognised degree or higher diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia Technology, or a related discipline with not less than three years of relevant experience. Have hands‑on experience in supporting teaching and learning platforms (e.g. Blackboard or Canvas) and related IT systems (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom, Turnitin, etc.), including setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support. Have hands‑on experience in web and server‑to‑server applications, including Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) integration, programming, testing, and implementation. Have experience in SQL and relational databases such as MSSQL or MySQL. Be proactive, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively as a team player. Possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Be proficient in written and spoken English, and preferably fluent in written and spoken Chinese, including Putonghua.
