About the Role: The Director of Greater China and ASEAN will lead amfori’s strategic engagement across Greater China and ASEAN regions. The role focuses on business development, stakeholder engagement, and external representation. The Director will play a key role in expanding amfori’s influence in the region and deepening member relationships. Based in the Hong Kong SAR (HKSAR) offices, the Director will be managing staff in the Regional Office based on HKSAR and the National Office(s) Mainland China. Your Responsibilities: Act as a member of Board of Director for amfori HKSAR, and manage all aspects of legal representation role per HKSAR legislation. Collaborate closely with the Global Senior Leadership team to ensure strategic and operational alignments. Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to grow amfori’s presence through membership affiliations throughout Greater China and ASEAN Lead initiatives to promote amfori’s value proposition and expand its regional footprint. Monitor regional trends and provide strategic insight to Senior leadership Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with businesses, trade bodies and government agencies. External representation: Represent amfori at regional and international forums, conferences and media engagements Required Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in private and public sector in business development and stakeholder engagement in Greater China and /or ASEAN Master’s degree in Business, International Relations, Public Policy and related field. Strong understanding of the political, economic, and regulatory environments in the region. Fluency in English & Cantonese is required. Mandarin knowledge is an asset. Strong commercial acumen and business savvy Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
