As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the CIB Payments technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain payment applications using COBOL/CICS on mainframe systems. Write and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing and job automation/job scheduling by CA7 Integrate and support messaging solutions using IBM MQ. Manage and SQL query databases using DB2 and Adabas. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust payment solutions. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in payment processing workflows. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Proven experience in mainframe COBOL, CICS programming. Strong knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) , CA7 job scheduler Hands‑on experience with IBM MQ for messaging and related programming skill Proficiency in DB2 SQL and Adabas database Experience in payment systems or financial transaction processing or SWIFT ISO standard is highly desirable. Experience in Java programming, build tools - Maven, git is advantage. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
