Vice President, Financial Control Department, Accounting Section Location: Hong Kong Employment type: Permanent (Full-time), Hybrid About the Client One of the world’s largest banking institutions, with a global presence spanning 50 markets and more than 180,000 employees. Job Overview Our client is seeking a Vice President for the Financial Control Department, Accounting Section within the Banking division. This role is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing regulatory reporting, internal controls, and compliance while driving process improvements across the organization. Key Responsibilities Perform reviews and quality assurance checks on HKMA banking returns, surveys, and related reports. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory reporting requirements. Establish and implement robust processes and controls to ensure accurate and timely preparation, validation, and submission of reporting reports. Maintain effective internal controls for regulatory reporting. Analyze the impact of new regulatory requirements and communicate findings to stakeholders. Stay current with regulatory changes and ensure internal tools reflect those updates. Collaborate with IT and other teams to enhance regulatory reporting systems and tools. Provide support during audits and examinations related to regulatory reporting. Engage in ad‑hoc projects and assignments as needed. Job Requirements At least 10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting within the banking industry. At least 5 years of experience managing a team is preferable. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Attention to detail and adherence to strict rules, standards, and deadlines.
