It’s a flexible advisory role for a seasoned IP professional who wants to influence technology without being tied to a 9-to-5. If you believe patents should protect progress — not just profits — we’d love to work with you. What You’ll Bring to the Table Strategic insight on IP and patent portfolio development for emerging tech. Ability to navigate subject matter eligibility challenges under global patent laws (U.S. §101 and similar requirements in China and EU). Guidance on prosecution, licensing, trade secrets, and open-source considerations. Comfort working with technical teams to uncover protectable value. A global perspective on compliance and cross-border IP and data issues. Who You Are Qualified patent attorney, preferably with 8+ years of practice across major jurisdictions such as U.S., Europe, and China, focusing on patent prosecution and strategy. Extensive experience in IP prosecution and commercialization. Able to interpret and apply technical concepts — background in math, physics, statistics or engineering is a plus. Hands‑on experience advising on the protection and commercialization of algorithm or AI‑related inventions. Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, with ability to advise founders and influence decisions. Why This Role? Work on projects that combine tech with social impact.
