Instructor (Aviation and Maritime Education Centre) Responsibilities: Perform teaching duties including student assessment and operating and maintaining training facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning; Provide support in programme operations; Prepare and update teaching and assessment materials; Assist in programme development and review of programme curriculum; Perform duties in relation to student administration including student admission and records, job placement and other student activities; Assist in procurement of training facilities and equipment; Assist in coordinating / organising special events and competitions; Implement quality assurance policies. Requirements Recognised higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or relevant disciplines; At least 3 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry; Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; Ability to work independently and be a good team player; Ability to pass a trade test; Hands‑on experience and/or knowledge in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage: Avionics repair; Composite material repair for aircraft components; Sheet metal repair for aircraft components. Notes Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirement (a) above but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification. Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications or those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. The initial posting is in IVE (Tsing Yi). The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
