Manager – Assessment Technology and Research (Ref: ATR/10/275) The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) is an independent and not-for-profit statutory body which administers public examinations in Hong Kong. Our scope of responsibility extends to administering over 200 international and professional examinations. We are looking for talented people to join hands with the HKEAA family in contributing to the provision of valid, reliable and equitable examinations and a range of assessment services to meet the educational and societal needs of the community. Applications are now invited for the following post: Manager – Assessment Technology and Research (Ref: ATR/10/275) Duties : The appointee will be responsible for performing high-quality analyses, conducting research, and overseeing the timely delivery of quality outcomes for internal and external projects, developing value propositions, presenting to relevant committees, sharing best international practices related to examinations, assessments, and research, giving expert advice to Secretariat staff and other parties, and helping the Division Head oversee the smooth running of the Division with the objective of enhancing organizational practices and processes within the human and financial resources given. Requirements : (a) A doctoral degree in Education, Statistics, Measurement and Assessment or related disciplines; (b) At least 6 years of managerial experience in management of research work; (c) Abundant knowledge of research concepts and methods; (d) Substantial knowledge of statistical tools and assessment technology; (e) Familiarity with item response theory and/or cognitive diagnostic modeling is preferred; (f) Excellent analytical skills and technical report writing skills; (g) Outstanding presentation and communication skills in Cantonese, English, and Putonghua; (h) Experience in working with primary and/or secondary schools in Hong Kong is an advantage; and (i) Strong collegial, communication, and teamwork skills. Candidates with less working experience may be considered. Employment Terms: The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract with contract-end-gratuity, MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
