Technical Writer

Responsibilities Evaluate the information to be presented and design a model on which to base the documentation Liaise with marketing team, engineering team, suppliers and other subject matter experts to establish technical specification Revise and update existing manuals in terms of scope, format and content Ensure accurate and consistent terminology, style, grammar and format (CMS text, user manuals) Write with content reuse in mind Edit old content (English) in the translation memory and new content written by technical writers and peers Administer Content Management System and localization projects Occasional trip to Asian countries required Those with more experience will be considered as Senior Technical Writer Requirements Degree holder in related disciplines Fluent spoken and written English Demonstrate mastery of Technical Publications Development Procedures Experience in Content Management Systems (CMS) and content architecture Experience in using style guides and regulatory standards Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat At least 3 years relevant experience, preferably in power tool / home appliance products Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Able to do multitask and work quickly and efficiently, within short time frames Strong time management and planning skills Able to work through ambiguity Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills We offer 5-day week, competitive remuneration package including double pay, medical, life & personal accident insurances, education sponsorship and good career prospects to the right candidate.
