We are seeking a Design Director with a specialization in knitwear and garment machine to lead our InDHouse research and development business. This pivotal role focuses on aligning research and design initiatives with our company’s strategic objectives, ensuring efficient budget management, fostering innovation, and enhancing customer and client interactions, with a specific emphasis on managing both fashion and non‑fashion knit programs. Responsibilities Develop and implement a detailed budget that aligns each employee’s role with the company’s business objectives, with a focus on knitwear / yarn / shoes projects. Oversee the integration of tools and technologies that support P&L management, particularly those that enhance flat knit and other knitting capabilities. Lead initiatives to foster an environment conducive to innovation and research in knitwear. Understand the latest fashion trends and translate them into design concepts and new developments. Work closely with the Sales and Raw Material teams to identify market and customer needs. Maintain high standards of professionalism in all communications and manage relationships with clients within the knitwear market segment. Set development calendar and numbers of development to support business growth based on each internal customer’s business objectives. Review and enhance the business model to promote the capabilities of InDHouse’s knitwear operations both internally and externally. Qualifications Degree in Knitwear Design, Fashion Design, Textile or related discipline. 10+ years of proven experience in knitwear management, with expertise in garment machine, raw materials, flat knit and other knitting technologies. Possess technical knitwear skills and yarns knowledge. Comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry, especially knitwear for both fashion and non‑fashion applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the knitwear market. Ability to manage multiple knitwear projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and MS Office applications. Knowledge in virtual 3D simulation and garment design, familiar with Browzwear, CLO, Style3D, APEX 3/4 is a plus. Station in Dongguan required, at least 3 days per week. Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin. Immediate availability preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
