Birgma Asia is a multinational group engaged in the procurement of various products in Asia for export to Scandinavian countries to our group company – Biltema. Our product lines include car parts & accessories, bicycles, boating equipment, hand tools, household DIY and construction materials, electronic products and leisure items. Our Asian regional procurement operations currently include several offices in Asia. Birgma is focused on procurement, logistics and the global manufacturing industry, while Biltema is focused on retail with a low‑cost, price‑leadership profile. Biltema stores conduct retail operations for private consumers and professionals. To cope with our business expansion, we are hiring the position of Global Sourcing Manager . Responsibilities Work with various business stakeholders to identify and qualify new or existing capable suppliers through RFQ and e‑bidding events. Drive price reduction and quality initiatives for assigned product categories in accordance with the company’s best interests. Liaise with the quality department to devise performance benchmarking tests and coordinate with testing labs to conduct testing. Work closely with product managers and purchasing managers to collect facts, ensure smooth project realization and meet project timelines. Provide support in enhancing product specifications for price negotiation, cost‑reduction initiatives and high product quality. Source potential suppliers and maintain competitive prices for assigned categories. Support purchasing managers in building respectful and collaborative supplier relationships with existing suppliers to ensure they meet all company requirements, including ethics, value and quality. Lead overall project planning, coordination, implementation, execution, data analysis, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company goals and strategy. Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned. Job Requirement Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience with an excellent understanding of the European hard goods market and intensive experience in working directly with factories. Solid experience in a sizeable organization or MNC. Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal, presentation and project management skills. Experience in technical products, electrical tools, construction commodities, mechanical assembly and manufacturing (preferred). Experience in project management, RFQ and e‑bidding. Flexible working attitude, multi‑tasking and detail‑orientated. Assertive, meticulous, independent, and team player. Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Hands‑on computer knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint and ERP system. Travel required.
