About the Company Hong Kong Centre for Logistics Robotics Limited We are Hong Kong Centre for Logistics Robotics Limited and our research focus is the development and applications of robotics and AI technologies in the logistics industry. Our centre is located in Hong Kong Science Park. Job Title Senior Robot Structural Engineer Responsibilities Responsible for the overall structural design of robots and the design of robotic arm modules, including the structural integration of motors, reducers, force/vision sensors, etc. Lead the modeling, assembly simulation, and mechanical analysis of the main structure, including static analysis, modal analysis, and dynamic response analysis. Design high‑stiffness/lightweight structures and perform related strength checks, fatigue assessments, and safety factor validations. Conduct structural modal optimization and vibration suppression design for high‑speed or high‑precision tasks to control system resonance risks. Responsible for wiring layout, cable chain design, and EMC protection to ensure reliable system operation. Collaborate with the electrical control and software teams to complete overall machine design debugging and system integration. Track advanced manufacturing processes and new materials to drive innovation in product structural design. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in mechanical design, mechatronics, robotics, or related fields (particularly outstanding candidates may be considered with a lower qualification). Over 10 years of experience in robot structural design, with project experience covering the entire process from concept design to mass production delivery. Proficient in mainstream 3D modeling and engineering drawing software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD. Familiar with motor selection, reducer selection, and matching methods for torque, speed, stiffness, etc. Knowledgeable about common structural materials (metals, plastics, composite materials) and their processing technologies (CNC, 3D printing, injection moulding, die casting, etc.). Familiar with finite element analysis (ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.) and capable of independently performing structural strength, modal, and thermal analysis. Strong sense of responsibility and good communication and coordination skills; project management experience is preferred. Preferred Backgrounds Structural design experience with service robots, collaborative robots, and medical robots. Experience in designing complex systems with ultra‑lightweight, high‑speed motion, and multi‑sensor integration. Familiarity with flexible structures or embodied intelligent systems is a plus.
