As a Workshop Technician , you are responsible for carrying out maintenance/calibration tasks on Emirates and third-party aircraft components/tools and equipment in accordance with company procedures and regulations. The job holder works as part of a team under the direction and guidance of the assigned supervisor/Engineer within the appropriate trade/cross trade disciplines for which they have been trained.
In this role, you will:
Hydraulic Workshop:- Understand the function and operation of aircraft hydraulic components.
- Ability to perform repair as per SPM/CMM and be familiar with the hydraulic component maintenance process.
- Knowledge of hydraulic test bench operation and component testing, ability to perform testing and fault isolation of different types of hydraulic components.
- Familiar with the standard and special tooling and equipment required for hydraulic component maintenance.
- Understand the function and operation of aircraft pneumatic components, for example Pneumatic Valve, Solenoid Valve, Check Valve, Bleed Valve, Regulator Valve, Torque motor, Servo Actuator Valve, Narrow Body Starter, Flow Control Valve, Wide Body Starter, PDU (Power Drive Unit) and ACM (Air Cycle Machine).
- Ability to perform repair as per SPM/CMM and be familiar with the pneumatic component maintenance process.
- Knowledge of pneumatic test bench operation and component testing, ability to perform testing and fault isolation of different types of pneumatic components.
- Familiar with the standard and special tooling and equipment required for pneumatic component maintenance.
- Uphold high safety standards by maintaining clean work areas, preventing hazards (such as FOD), and promptly reporting any defects or safety issues to supervisors to ensure smooth shift handovers and reduce operational delays.
- Assist supervisors and engineers with troubleshooting, defect rectifications, testing, and inspections, while also being prepared to join the Rapid Response Unit (RRU)/AOG team during aircraft incidents and recoveries.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree (12+3 or equivalent) in Engineering in Aeronautical subjects, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic, Tech Engineering OR Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence OR Engineering Apprenticeship.
- 5+ Years of post qualification experience in aviation field, out of which minimum 2 years should be in workshop environment e.g. W&B, Avionics, Cabin, Structures or Calibration, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fuel & Oil, Landing Gear.
