We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Global Category Innovation Director to lead our innovation efforts within the FMCG sector. This role will be pivotal in driving growth through innovative product development and category strategies on a global scale. Key Responsibilities: Innovation Strategy : Develop and implement a global innovation strategy that aligns with business objectives and responds to evolving market trends in the FMCG sector. Consumer Insights : Conduct comprehensive market research and consumer analysis to identify emerging trends, unmet needs, and competitive opportunities. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product development and launch processes. Category Performance : Lead the management of product categories, driving initiatives to enhance market share, profitability, and brand equity through innovative product offerings. Product Development : Oversee the ideation, design, and execution of new products and line extensions tailored to consumer preferences and market demands. Portfolio Management : Optimize the product portfolio to ensure alignment with consumer trends and maximize lifecycle management across categories. Performance Metrics : Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of innovation initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Team Leadership : Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing innovation team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; 10+ years of experience in product innovation or category management within the FMCG sector. Proven track record of successfully launching innovative products that drive category growth and consumer engagement. Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and insights for strategic decision-making. Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels. Creative mindset with a strong understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment typical of the FMCG industry.
