Project Details We are offering opportunities for volunteers interested in gaining experience in humanitarian work. The placements will require 9+ months of commitment. Our workdays are Tuesdays to Saturdays, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm. As a Crossroads volunteer you will work in an international environment with many other full‑ and part‑time volunteers, learning about the varied needs in Hong Kong and around the world. English is the main working language; working fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin or French would also be beneficial. You’ll play a genuine part in our operations, taking on and owning responsibilities that matter and seeing the impact of your efforts. Start and end dates are flexible. This is a full‑time, unpaid, voluntary role based in Hong Kong. Like all our full‑time team, you will need to raise sufficient finance to support the living expenses for the duration of your volunteering placement. What We Need Various potential roles across our departments – shipping and logistics, goods preparation for distribution, distribution client care, HR, corporate engagement, resource data analysis, partnership development, fair‑trade marketplace, IT support, communications & marketing, design, translation, administration, research, catering, property maintenance, hospitality, and running experiential simulation programmes. Commitment of 9+ months. Availability for workdays on Tuesdays to Saturdays, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm. Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work hands‑on in a flexible, volunteer‑run environment. English speaking; proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin or French is a plus. Background At Crossroads, we believe your career break or gap year should be about more than just travel – it should be a time of growth, inspiration, and meaningful connection with yourself, others and the wider world. As a Crossroads volunteer, you’ll join a truly global community, working alongside volunteers from all over the world, united by the desire to help others and create positive change. We provide vital aid for relief and development in over 90 countries and support vulnerable communities in Hong Kong. By redistributing quality goods and collaborating with NGOs, we tackle entrenched poverty and enhance sustainability. In times of crisis, we focus on disaster response and best practices. What We Have You’ll immerse yourself in a vibrant, English‑speaking environment where cultures meet, ideas flow freely, and lifelong friendships are formed. You’ll be entrusted with real responsibilities—no busywork here—playing an active role in our operations and witnessing the tangible impact of your efforts. We value your individuality, so after an interview we’ll tailor your role to match your unique skills, interests and experience. We also ask you to be prepared to be flexible and hands‑on, willing to help where it’s most needed even if it’s not what you’re most used to. Along the way, you’ll gain meaningful experience, build valuable skills and grow in confidence, all while contributing to a cause bigger than yourself. Interested? Click apply . Or send us an email at (email protected) to introduce yourself and we will get back to you. Why this is important Each department and role is essential for people in need.
