Associate Director, Irene Lam Centre of Collaborative Projects (ILCCP) (Ref.: 25/144/ILCCP/AD) Overview The Associate Director will support the Director in overseeing the strategic direction and financial accountability of Irene Lam Centre of Collaborative Projects (ILCCP) . This role involves managing collaborative projects, training programmes, and incubation activities that align with the ILCCP's mission of fostering innovation, collaboration and the practical application of creative disciplines, particularly in design and film production. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Oversight Assist in developing and implementing the strategic vision and goals of ILCCP. Collaborate with the Director of ILCCP to align the Centre's activities with the university's mission and objectives. 2. Budget Management Support the Director in preparing and monitoring the Centre's budget. Ensure financial accountability and adherence to funding requirements and policies. 3. Project Management Oversee the execution of research and development projects, ensuring they meet community needs and educational goals. Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables for various projects and initiatives. 4. Training and Internship Programmes Design and implement structured internship programmes for students of Department of Design SFU in collaboration with local businesses and NGOs. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance students' practical skills and industry readiness. 5. Alumni Engagement Develop and maintain a system for connecting alumni with projects and resources. Organise networking events and workshops to foster collaboration between current students and alumni. 6. Research and Development Promote interdisciplinary research initiatives that address community needs and advance the fields of design and film production. Collaborate with the Department of Design and industry partners to conduct research and showcase findings. 7. Community Outreach Lead initiatives to promote the Centre’s services and engage with local organisations. Organise seminars and workshops to educate the community about the benefits of creative services. 8. Reporting and Evaluation Regularly assess the effectiveness of programmes and initiatives, providing reports to the Director and stakeholders. Use feedback to continually improve the Centre’s offerings and impact. Expected Qualifications Education Master’s degree in Design, Film Production, Arts Administration, or a related field. Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in an academic or creative environment. Proven track record of managing budgets and ensuring financial accountability. Skills Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with students, alumni, academic staff of Department of Design SFU, and community partners. Ability to analyse data and generate reports for programme evaluation. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
