Senior Manager, Cultural Exchange and Special Projects, The Hong Kong Palace Museum Join to apply for the Senior Manager, Cultural Exchange and Special Projects, The Hong Kong Palace Museum role at West Kowloon Cultural District Authority The Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) is a dedicated museum that showcases the exquisite artefacts from Palace Museum’s collections and collaborates with other museums in research, exhibitions, education and public programmes. The museum comprises 7 800 square metres of gallery space for standing and special exhibitions on Palace Museum’s collections of paintings, calligraphy, antiquities and historical objects, as well as thematic displays on world cultures and civilisations. Responsibilities Establishing and strengthening collaboration opportunities with local and international museums, cultural institutions and non‑government organisations, to foster cultural exchange engagement and shared learning. Exploring and developing a series of innovative and compelling cultural exchange events and activities to promote HKPM’s vision and mission. Identifying new business growth opportunities and cultural exchange initiatives to enhance brand and business value of HKPM and WKCDA. Overseeing the planning and implementation of exhibition opening events, special projects and key engagement activities to ensure their smooth operations. Coordinating special visits for internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining and building good relationships with relevant parties and other stakeholders. Performing any duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by HKPM. Qualifications Possess a recognised university degree in business administration, public relations, marketing, cultural management, or equivalent. Have at least 12 years of relevant experience, in an art, cultural, educational institution or other large organisations with diverse responsibilities in cultural exchange and event management. At least 3 years of management experience is preferred. Have proven leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills. Have strong project management and problem‑solving skills; be highly organised, reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently. Possess experience in supporting budget, procurement and contract management. Be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Manager, Cultural Exchange and Special Projects.
