Therapeutic Franchise Head

About the Role The Therapeutic Franchise Head (Renal) is an operational expert responsible for developing strategies that support new business proposals and oversee the delivery of contracted work within their therapeutic area. The role ensures successful transition from proposal to delivery and drives long‑term growth. Key Accountabilities Operational strategy Accountable for creating and optimizing delivery strategies for Early and Late Phase, multi‑service, multi‑region studies that leverage EC’s expertise. Responsibilities include: Collaborating with experts to differentiate Emerald Clinical from competitors. Supporting business growth with functional area heads and external Centres of Excellence. Developing effective delivery strategies for all projects in the assigned area. Engaging Operations Area Lead team members to align with the global strategy. Creating training materials and resource libraries for regional and global project leads. New business Partnering with Business Development, Medical Services, Proposals, & Operations to award business and achieve new business targets: Evaluating opportunities from receipt through pricing and proposal development. Supporting customer meetings with training, content, and strategy presentation. Developing and reviewing project budgets to meet margin and pricing targets. Presenting at customer meetings, including bid defence. Coordinating follow‑up actions after bid defences. Project Champion The TFH acts as the project champion for awarded projects, ensuring strategy implementation and guiding project delivery teams: Mentoring Project Leads through hand‑over and ongoing support. Defining team structure and resource allocation. Adjusting delivery strategy as project progress indicates. Serving as an escalation point and governance contact. About You Tertiary qualifications in a related science or health‑care discipline. 10+ years global clinical research experience, including operational project delivery and/or drug development. 5+ years global business development experience, preferably hands‑on. Expertise in one or more operational areas with the ability to manage projects in that domain. Knowledge of Emerald Clinical’s services, product offerings, and industry trends. Strong customer‑needs analysis, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English. Strong leadership and ability to work autonomously in a matrix organization. Business acumen with financial considerations and sales/operations experience. Why Join Us?
