Associate / Vice President - FICC Trade Support, Operations The FICC Trade Support Analyst/Associate is a pivotal role within our Operations division, responsible for the accurate and efficient management of the trade life‑cycle from execution through to settlement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational knowledge of FICC products, exceptional problem‑solving skills, and a control‑focused mindset. You will act as a key liaison between the trading desk, brokers, clients, and other internal teams to ensure the integrity of trade data and the mitigation of operational risk. Key Responsibilities Post‑Trade Execution & Life‑cycle Management Trade Capture & Validation – Accurately capture and validate trades in the booking systems (e.g., Bloomberg TOMS/AIMS) shortly after execution. Trade Matching & Confirmation – Proactively manage trade affirmation and confirmation and through direct broker/custodian communication for a variety of OTC and listed products. Trade Settlement – Coordinate with custodians, agent banks, PBs to ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades, including managing fail resolutions. Corporate Actions – Monitor and process corporate actions (coupon payments, redemptions, mergers, credit events) for fixed income and equity‑linked products; monitor and process lifecycle events for swaps (resets, fixings, rolls, compressions). Trade Reconciliation – Perform daily and intraday reconciliations between internal blotters, trading blotters, and external counterparty/clearing statements to identify and resolve breaks promptly. Collateral support – Support the collateral management process by assisting with margin calls (Initial and Variation) for cleared and bilateral OTC derivatives. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for the trading desk regarding all post‑trade issues, providing real‑time support and status updates. Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and IT teams to expedite issue resolution and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. 3–5 years of direct experience in a Trade Support, Middle Office, or Settlements role. Hands‑on experience with at least 3 of the following product types: MBS/CMOs – Process and reconcile monthly principal and interest payments, paydowns, and factor updates; understand pre‑payment speed impact on security performance. FX & Commodities – FX spots, forwards, options; base metals, energies. Proven understanding of the end‑to‑end trade life‑cycle for both OTC and exchange‑traded derivatives. Strong proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas). Expert knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel. Direct experience with Collateral Management and margin processes (SIMM, VM, IM) is desirable. Knowledge of structured note issuance and lifecycle events is preferred. Familiarity with a major trading system (e.g., Bloomberg) is highly desirable. Programming or scripting skills (Python, VBA, SQL) for process automation would be a competitive advantage. Strong organizational abilities and capacity for team collaboration. Attention to detail and effective communication skills. Ability to multi‑task and prioritize issues under pressure.
