Based at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within F&B Service Division in Hong Kong, the Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting to supervise the day‑to‑day Restaurant operation encompassing business level projection and promotional activities. Represent the Restaurant during the absence of Assistant F&B Manager. Initiate training for every position to enhance the consistency in service and standards and to assist the manager to achieve departmental goals and total guest satisfaction. The Assistant Manager reports to the Assistant F&B Manager. As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties: Supervise a smooth daily operation and support in administration. Understand guests’ needs and deliver excellent service. Handle guest complaints and comments. Provide professional development to colleagues and lead the team to achieve departmental goal and total guests' satisfaction. Ensure the restaurant operation in full compliance with all safety and HACCP requirements. Liaise with kitchen team on a daily basis. Provide timely training and coaching to the colleagues. The ability to maintain & communicate important information effectively using the correct channels appropriately. The ability to listen, give guidance and aid colleagues whenever assistance is required including personal issues. Assist in other ad hoc projects as assigned. As Assistant Manager, we expect from you: Minimum 3 years of Fine Dining restaurant experience in Michelin Starred. Experience in international 5‑star luxury hotels is considered an advantage. Well organized and structured. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, open mind of different culture, friendly, approachable and sociable. Motivational with enthusiastic character with excellent listening skills. Acquire good training and coaching skills. Good command in English, knowledge in other languages is an advantage.
