Blasting Engineer

Responsibilities 1) Assess the blasting face to be blasted with the shot-firer and discuss the tunnel geology with the Engineering Geologist. 2) Design the blast in conformance with the excavation profile, the allowable charge weights, the Method Statement and the license / permit conditions. 3) Take full responsibilities and control on the safety and quality of blasting works. 4) Direct the detailed blasting monitoring and any other monitoring as recommended as a result of the condition survey of sensitive receivers, and the production of blast reports in including vibration and AOP response spectra. Requirements At least 5 years of experience in carrying out and designing blasting works/Civil construction projects. Bachelor's Degree or above. Should have tracked record as being Mines accepted Blasting Engineer for previous project. Requires extensive civil engineering experience, bilingual in Mandarin and Cantonese, capable of effectively managing mainland workers and coordinating with mainland machinery and equipment suppliers. Must have excellent computer skills including AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking capabilities across multiple projects with excellent communication and client relationship building skills.
