Company Description Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA) is a private independent, non-denominational, co-educational day school established in 2004 under the auspices of the Victoria Shanghai Education Foundation Limited, a registered charitable body. VSA is an IB World School and the first in Hong Kong authorised to deliver three of the International Baccalaureate Programmes, providing a “through-train” IB education for students aged 6 to 18. The Primary School was authorised as an IB Primary Years Programme school in December 2005. In the Secondary School, the Middle Years Programme (“MYP”) and Diploma Programme (“DP”) were authorised in December 2006 and June 2007 respectively. VSA emphasizes a holistic approach to education, at the heart of which is inquiry-based learning and teaching. The Primary School offers a bilingual education (English and Putonghua); the Secondary School curriculum is delivered in English and supplemented by a strong Chinese programme. VSA has approximately 2,000 students and over 200 teaching staff. In Secondary, there are over 100 faculty members, consisting of local and expatriate staff. VSA is accredited by CIS and NEASC. More information about Victoria Shanghai Academy can be found here: Job Description VSA is now recruiting an enthusiastic and committed person for the Finance Assistant position. Key Responsibilities Payment & Cash Management: Process daily payments efficiently. Prepare bank reconciliations and update the cash book regularly. Maintain proper records and handle cash transactions for school events and special activities. Financial Reporting & Assets: Assist with journal entry input for monthly financial reporting. Prepare Balance Sheet item analysis reports. Assist in updating and maintaining the fixed assets register. Operational Support: Handle inquiries / complaints. Coordinate with other departments for procurement enquiries. Perform ad-hoc duties and administrative support as assigned. Requirements Higher Diploma or above in Accounting and Finance. 3 – 5 years of relevant experience; experience in a school setting is preferred. Knowledge of HKICPA regulatory reporting requirements is preferred. Self‑motivated, independent, willing to learn and able to meet deadlines. Attentive to details and accuracy, perform ad‑hoc duties as required. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and accounting applications.
