ASTRI’s core R&D competence in various areas is grouped under five Technology Divisions: Advanced Electronic Components and Systems; Artificial Intelligence and Trust Technologies; Communications Technologies; IoT Sensing and AI Technologies; and Intelligent Perception and Control Technologies. Job Responsibilities Conduct research and development on SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), localization, and path planning for robotics applications in industrial automation and smart infrastructure Develop algorithms for object detection, pose estimation and motion planning to enable autonomous robotic systems in industrial environments Ensure scalability, robustness, and performance of algorithmic solutions within integrated systems Follow the system engineering processes to design and deliver high-quality modules, systems, and platforms Document the design and testing throughout SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) and ISO processes Job Requirements Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Candidates with less experience may also be considered. Strong proficiency in C/C++/Python and algorithm optimization Familiar with Robot Operating System (ROS), Gazebo, MATLAB/Simulink and related tools Familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) is a plus A team player with good analytical and communication skills in written and spoken English Lives ASTRI values The appointment will be on renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and performance-linked variable pay.
