AIRFREIGHT EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities Manage and process air cargo bookings, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Liaise with airlines/coloader to secure space and negotiate rates for air freight shipments. Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documents, including air waybills, invoices, and customs declarations. Communicate with customer service teams regarding shipment status, rates, and any issues that may arise during transit. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including customs, safety, and security requirements for air freight. Address and resolve any issues related to shipments, such as delays, damage, or lost cargo. Monitor and manage shipping costs to ensure profitability while maintaining competitive pricing for clients. Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and changes in regulations that may affect air freight operations. Work closely with other departments, such as sales, logistics, and customs, to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in airfreight, logistics, or supply chain management. Experience in customer service or sales within the logistics industry is a plus. Understanding of air freight regulations, customs procedures, and industry standards. Familiarity with shipping documentation, including air waybills and customs declarations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions. High level of accuracy in documentation and data entry. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams.
