The Data Governance Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring, and enforcing the management of data assets through digital transformation and strategic data projects under New World Group. This includes cataloguing, monitoring, and identifying data assets essential to the organization's operations, assigning data ownership, incorporating governance of data into routine processes, supporting or managing risk processes around data, advocating for better use and management of data, and encouraging data literacy within the organization. Responsibilities Catalogue, monitor, and identify data assets that are essential to the organization's operations or services. Manage and drive data governance, data access, and data quality frameworks for digital and analytics projects. Incorporate governance of data into routine processes – e.g., including Data Privacy standards – by working as part of Group Data Privacy taskforce that includes members from legal, cyber security, marketing, analytics, and IT. Support or manage risk processes around data and advocate for better use and management of data within the organization. Requirements Over 5 years of experience in data governance, engineering and/or data analytics, with exposure to driving a data catalogue, data quality, and enterprise access framework. Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across organizational, technical, and political boundaries and to make complex and technical information accessible for non‑technical audiences. Previous experience handling data privacy governance – PIPL, GDPR, or PDPO – is an advantage. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications or trainings related to Data Governance and/or Data Privacy will be an advantage.E.g.
