Senior Product Designer

To cope with our vigorous business growth, we are now looking for a high caliber candidate to join our team for the global development of our acoustics and batteries business. The job scope for this position will be widely covered from high‑fidelity acoustic products to portable power solutions from our batteries business, such as torches, OTG and power banks. About the Role As a Senior Product Designer, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, support the Design Manager and Director, and mentor junior designers. This hands‑on position is ideal for an Industrial Designer ready to advance their career within a multifaceted design team. You’ll play a pivotal role in creative direction and strategic design, working across diverse brands and product categories. Responsibilities include everything from early‑stage research and concept development to 3D modelling and supporting the manufacturing process. Responsibilities Design commercial and industrial products, overseeing model and prototype creation to ensure manufacturability. Work across a range of products, including electronic accessories, lighting, and audio lifestyle solutions. Respond to product briefs and innovation roadmaps from clients and manufacturers. Conduct research to drive innovative, customer‑centric design and support business goals. Consider factors such as cost, material selection, production methods, technology, safety, CMF/design trends, ergonomics, sustainability (ESG), marketing, and business strategy in your designs. Generate concepts and solve problems with the end user in mind. Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, Rhino, Keyshot, and Adobe CS. Map out design processes that fulfill client briefs and meet quality standards. Supervise the construction and testing of models for functionality, quality, and consumer appeal, collaborating with model makers for realistic, unique, and novel features. Modify designs to meet manufacturing and cost requirements as needed. Ensure all projects align with company design strategy and innovation roadmaps. Assist in sourcing suppliers who meet design and quality standards. Ensure design recommendations are practical and in line with business strategy. Research design, CMF, lifestyle trends to inform creative decisions. Prepare compelling documentation and presentations for design reviews. Conduct field and factory research to observe product use, production methods, and discover new materials and processes, working closely with engineers and suppliers to maintain design intent. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Product or Industrial Design. At least 8 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing field, ideally in audio, electronics, or electrical product design for manufacturing. Strong research and visual presentation skills. Proven skills liaising with clients, managing multiple projects, and collaborating with diverse teams under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and pragmatic approach to creativity, plus strong storytelling abilities. Expertise in 2D (Adobe Creative Suite) and 3D design software (SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot). Animation skills are a plus. Knowledge of various manufacturing processes, beyond plastic injection moulding. Ability to develop designs from concept to engineering, producing 3D CAD data for prototyping and production. Fluency in spoken and written English. Putonghua is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience with premium consumer electronics or technology products. Background in well‑known brands, whether in‑house or consultancy.
