Job Description – Supplies Supervisor II (NTWC‑S ) REF. NO. NTWC‑S Rank: Supplies Supervisor II Pay: HK$17,286 to HK$37,590 (HGPS Point 2 to 15) per month including Monthly Allowance. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end‑of‑contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. Key Responsibilities: Assist in monitoring the daily operation of the local supplies office. Handle procurement and materials management activities, including asset management, stocktaking, product sourcing, price research, purchase requisition and commitment monitoring. Liaise with users, other hospital departments, contractors or other external parties on all matters relating to procurement activities, store management and medical equipment maintenance. Supervise staff members of the local supplies office. Maintain good store layout, cleanliness and tidiness of the store area. Assist in procurement functions including product sourcing, price research, purchase requisition, quotation/tender administration, commitment monitoring, etc. Assist in preparation of quotation/tender documents and routine correspondence for purchase of medical equipment, general equipment and service. Handle users’ enquiries and complaints. Assist in generating reports for analysis and management review. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements: Serving staff in the substantive rank of Supplies Assistant with at least 3 years of satisfactory service and have passed the Government Supplies Department competitive examination; OR (i) 5 subjects, including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics at Grade E in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent. OR (ii) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below: Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/"Attained" in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent. A former Hong Kong Polytechnic Certificate of Proficiency in Stores Supervision, or equivalent. A former Hong Kong Polytechnic Advanced Certificate in Storekeeping. Grade E in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination English Language (Syllabus B), or Level 2 in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education English Language, or equivalent, plus a former Hong Kong Technical College Supply Officers Ordinary Course Certificate. Good general education preferably up to tertiary level. Two years’ experience in procurement and materials management functions. Good working knowledge of personal computer.
