Maintenance Technician

Our client “The Hong Kong Jockey Club” is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Kitchen) to join their team Join one of Hong Kong's most prestigious organizations and apply your technical expertise in an exclusive clubhouse environment. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing various electrical and mechanical equipment at the Happy Valley Clubhouse, ensuring smooth operations of kitchen machinery, pool plants, and other essential systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a high‑end facility with a five‑day work week on rotating shifts. About Our Client The Hong Kong Jockey Club's Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. They provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities across three Clubhouses at Happy Valley, Sha Tin, and Beas River Country Club in Sheung Shui, as well as numerous catering facilities at both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses. What you'll be doing? Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Take charge of daily maintenance and repair of general electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance of kitchen machinery, pool plants, water pumps, lighting, audio‑visual, and air‑conditioning systems. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform proactive maintenance to keep all equipment and facilities in top condition, while ensuring necessary tools and materials are readily available. Contractor Supervision: Monitor and guide contractors to ensure their work meets the Club's high standards and requirements, maintaining excellent service quality throughout. Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate records of electrical and mechanical data, report to senior staff, and assist shift technicians to ensure seamless operations. Versatile Support: Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the facilities management team. Who are they looking for? Technical Expertise: At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in maintaining electrical, air‑conditioning, plumbing, building management, and fire protection systems. Industry Background: Experience in hotel, clubhouse, or property management environments is highly valued, demonstrating familiarity with high‑end facility standards. Professional Qualifications: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in electrical and mechanical systems maintenance. Required Certifications: Hold a Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker Grade A or R or above issued by the Hong Kong Government. Safety Awareness: Possess a Hong Kong Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate, showcasing commitment to workplace safety. Flexible Schedule: Ability to work a five‑day week on rotating shifts, supporting round‑the‑clock facility operations.
