Institute of Insurance and Risk Management is a new institute established in 2021. It is a department‑level, research‑focused unit holding the Lingnan University‑Sun Yat‑sen University GBA Research Institute for Insurance and a Risk Management (LU‑SYSU IRM). The Institute aims to become a leading centre of excellence in research and talent training for the risk management and insurance industry in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the Region, and to contribute to developing Hong Kong as a premier international insurance hub. Responsibilities Conduct scholarly research and pursue external grants. Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Contribute to institutional services related to research and practice. Qualifications PhD degree in Risk and Insurance or a related discipline. Strong commitment to quality research activities. Experience in recognized institutions, a sound record of publications in top‑tier journals, and competitive grant attainment. Submission of work experience, qualifications, research interests, achievements, and a statement of publication record. Appointment The appointment will be competitive, with remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity, and passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee.
