Network Security Specialist

Responsibilities Perform operational tasks such as implementing and configuring firewall, VPN, and proxy policies as part of Business As Usual (BAU) activities. Support network security components round-the-clock in areas such as firewall, VPN, proxy, and various security tools like Darktrace. Possess familiarity with a range of Security technologies including Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks (PA), Sangfor, Huawei, as well as other security components such as Ivanti VPN, MobileIron, Darktrace, NAC, Proxy, among others. Deploy and manage network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Darktrace, CrowdStrike, SIEM to track network performance and security. Promptly investigate and address security alerts, incidents, and breaches with efficiency. Handle security events and incidents in a 24/7 environment to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to troubleshoot, analyze security data and produce reports for management and stakeholders. Assist in the implementation and management of security controls, tools, and technologies. Collaborate with diverse teams to enforce security measures and address security challenges effectively. The Person Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a network security operation role. Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies. Experience with security tools such as Firewall, VPN, SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are a plus. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders. Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Team player, self‑motivated and capable of working independently.
