Our client is a new Michelin-star Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong and they are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee the restaurant's daily operations. About the Role Support the Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring seamless, efficient, and consistently high-quality 5-star service. Assist in leading, training, and motivating the front‑of‑house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Maintain outstanding levels of guest satisfaction by ensuring service consistency and promptly addressing feedback or concerns in a professional manner. Contribute to the development and upkeep of efficient operational systems, policies, and procedures to enhance productivity and service flow. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations; train and monitor team adherence to all safety protocols. Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor offerings to provide informed suggestions for continuous improvement. Maintain up‑to‑date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and daily/weekly checklists. Assist with staff scheduling, timekeeping, and basic payroll administration to optimise staffing levels and coverage. Foster strong communication and collaboration between front‑of‑house and kitchen teams. The Successful Applicant Minimum 5 years' relevant experience working at a Japanese Michelin‑star restaurant. Ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Proficient in both spoken and written Chinese and English is a pre‑requisite for this role, with basic spoken Japanese preferred.
