Corporate Communications Manager (25003) The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) is a flagship Chinese medicine (CM) institution leading the development of CM including Chinese medicines (CMs) in Hong Kong. The CMHHK adopts a public-private partnership model. The HKSAR Government has financed the construction and selected the Hong Kong Baptist University as the contractor to incorporate the HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited as the operator to manage, operate and maintain the CMHHK. The CMHHK will commence hospital services by phases in December 2025. The CMHHK aims to offer comprehensive CM care, ranging from primary, secondary to tertiary services, and promote advanced and specialised CM services. The CMHHK will pioneer integrated Chinese-western medicine (ICWM) services to cater to different patient needs. Inpatient, day-patient, and outpatient treatments and also community services will be offered by the CMHHK. Both Government-subsidised services and add-on market-oriented services will be provided to ensure accessibility and to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the community. With a view to prioritising education, training, innovation and research, including collaboration with local and overseas universities to advance evidence-based clinical research and develop CM theories and clinical applications, the CMHHK is now looking for the following talent to join our team. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with the hospital’s strategic goals. Craft and maintain clear, impactful messaging to ensure accuracy and consistency across all external and internal communication, including but not limited to press releases, advertorials, speeches, videos, website content, social media, publications, and other digital materials. Plan and implement effective campaigns and events designed to generate positive media coverage, spotlighting the hospital’s services, achievements, and people, and pitch media stories to elevate the hospital's visibility and reputation within the healthcare industry. Monitor media coverage and compile daily news summaries. Handle media inquiries, formulate lines‑to‑take for incidents or potential issues; support issue and crisis management by developing and implementing issue management strategies, media relations protocols, and response plans. Manage partnerships with external agencies to ensure uniformity and brand integrity across all communications initiatives. Arrange and conduct media training for hospital management and staff to improve media sensitivity and handling skills. Support fundraising campaigns and donation arrangement of the hospital. Plan and manage budgets for promotional activities and projects to ensure effective resource allocation. Supervise and mentor junior team members and student helpers. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Requirements A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Translation or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications and media relations; prior journalistic experience will be an advantage. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with demonstrated creativity and a proven ability to produce compelling and impactful content. Deep understanding of the current media and political environment, social media trends, and best practices; proven ability in incident and crisis management, as well as stakeholder engagement planning and execution. Detail‑oriented, highly organised, and able to work independently with strong project management skills. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to work on weekends and outside office hours when required. Candidates with less experience may be considered for an Assistant Manager position.
