We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and student‑centred IT / STEM Teacher to join our international school community. This role is ideal for an educator committed to fostering critical thinking, problem‑solving, and creativity in students aged 6–14. The successful candidate will design engaging learning experiences that encourage exploration, curiosity, and individual growth. The IT / STEM Teacher reports to the Head of Single Subjects, with support from the Curriculum Leaders. As a key member of our specialist teaching team, the teacher contributes to meaningful, integrated, and future‑focused learning experiences. This includes staying informed about emerging trends in technology and education, and supporting the school’s efforts to anticipate and respond to the evolving needs of students. We are looking for candidates with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine interest in contributing to whole‑school initiatives such as school performances and our Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) programme. The teacher should be a team player and demonstrate the ability to create safe, inclusive learning environments that support student well‑being alongside their academic development. Regular assessment and clear communication with parents are essential parts of the role. Main Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver dynamic IT / STEM lessons to students aged 6‑14 years old Create student‑centred, inquiry‑driven learning experiences Differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of individual learners Collaborate with Single Subject colleagues to design integrated learning opportunities Contribute to whole‑school programmes and initiatives such as testing, outdoor educational experiences, and school performances Seek opportunities to collaborate with other international schools to expand IT‑related learning experiences Support colleagues and school events with IT troubleshooting and staff professional development when needed Willingness to assist the school’s learning support programme (when needed) Requirements Possess a teaching degree or a regular degree with an additional teaching qualification on top A demonstrated interest in student‑centred learning such as Montessori or PYP At least 2 years of experience within an educational setting, ideally teaching IT/STEM Relevant experience and understanding of the following IT areas would be of benefit: Google Suite Block Coding Robotics Vex Robots Chrome OS Cyber Safety and Digital Well‑being A strong team player with a collaborative mindset and willingness to support school areas beyond direct teaching responsibilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills About the School The International Montessori School (IMS) was founded to enable each child to develop his or her own individual gifts and talents within a caring, supportive, and respectful learning environment.
