We are recruiting for a Paralegal to work within the Technology, Media, Intellectual Property and Competition (TMIC) team in Hong Kong. About The Role We have an opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join our IP team. You will have proven strong Paralegal experience, preferably working within an international law firm and supporting from Associate to Partner level. You will have strong organizational skills and be confident in meeting the frequent demands of a fast‑paced role, with strong communication skills fundamental. Key Responsibilities Prepare and file applications for trademark, patent and design in Hong Kong and elsewhere. Process and prepare replies on own initiative on correspondence and legal documents for foreign counsel with strict attention to deadlines and details. Review written opinions/office actions from various IP offices and prepare reports to clients. Assist with prosecution of trademark, prepare specifications of goods and services, assist with preparation of statutory declaration, opposition, revocation/cancellation, invalidation and hearings. Assist with prosecution of patent applications. Assist with prosecution of design applications. Assist with copyright registrations. Monitor deadlines and send periodical reminders. Conduct online searches for trademark, patent and design on various databases. Conduct company searches. Handle general trademark, patent and design queries and cost estimates in various jurisdictions. Attend renewal fee payment for trademark, patent and design matters in various jurisdictions. Manage IPR portfolio. Assist with domain name dispute resolution. About You The successful candidate should be a graduate with a basic degree and a good track record of working as an IP paralegal with some patent filing experience in Hong Kong. You should be proficient in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (both oral and written) and be able to work well with others. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, avoid errors, and have strong organizational skills.
