Renowned for game changing innovation and superior performance, at ghd we are on a mission to transform lives with the power of a good hair day ABOUT THIS ROLE This HK Senior HRBP is pivotal in shaping a high performance, values driven culture that supports business growth. You’ll be a trusted partner to the HK leadership team, driving organizational design, leadership capability, and employee engagement. As part of the broader global ghd HR organisation, you’ll collaborate with global Centres of Expertise in Talent, Reward, and People Services enabling you to focus on strategic impact while leveraging best-in-class tools and support. Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership Partner with HK leadership to align people strategy with commercial goals. Lead organizational design and workforce planning to support agility and growth. Champion a culture of speed, simplicity, accountability, and intensity. Coach HK Leadership team members, elevating leadership capabilities. Lead adoption and integration of SAP SuccessFactors of HCM functions. Culture & Engagement Drive cultural initiatives that embed ghd’s values and foster high engagement. Own the communication and engagement strategy across the HK team. Leverage employee engagement and insights to shape impactful people plans. Talent & Capability Lead succession planning and talent development for critical roles. Partner with Talent COE to deliver performance management, leadership development, and learning programs. Build all employees & manager capability through coaching, training, and upskilling initiatives on regular basis. Review staff development needs and deliver training sessions on relevant topics. Deliver training aligned with global initiatives while tailoring local needs. Core HR Operational Excellence Ensure delivery of core HR processes across the employee lifecycle. Collaborate with Reward COE to guide compensation decisions and benchmarking, including roll out of job grading & related manager upskilling. Maintain data integrity and insights through HR systems and reporting. Lead the annual performance and merit cycle, facilitating calibration and upskilling line managers. Lead people cost financial planning in collaboration with Finance, ensuring SG&A targets are met. Working with Wella PSC to ensure accurately & timely payroll processing. Leading HR administration and policies setup Compensation and Benefits management from structure to payroll process & benefits programs implementation (Group Medical, Labour Insurance) Talent Acquisition Drive roll out & adoption of global ATS solution. Use data and metrics (e.g., cost per hire, time to hire, source of hire) to continuously improve hiring strategies. Manage interview and feedback processes, offers, background checks, and candidate closure. Ensure smooth integration of new hires and manage the full employee lifecycle from entry to exit. Work across the ghd Group and Global people organisation. Build strong relationships across the broader Wella HR network, sharing best practices and leveraging shared services. Represent ghd HK in global HR forums, ensuring local needs are heard and supported. About You Experience & Qualifications 5+ years in HR, including compensation & benefits experience. Experience in consumer-facing sectors such as retail or ecommerce. Strong understanding of organizational design, talent strategy, and cultural transformation Able to speak Cantonese, English and Mandarin Skills & Attributes Commercially astute with a strategic mindset. Exceptional communicator and relationship builder. Highly organized, tech-savvy, and data-driven. Emotionally intelligent, ethical, and values-led. Experience in matrixed/global organizations.
