IT Security Engineering Manager/ AVP

Lead the design, engineering, and optimization of security controls across applications, platforms, and cloud environments (on-premises and cloud). Develop and execute cybersecurity strategies aligned with business objectives, compliance requirements, and risk management frameworks. Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to embed security into the system development lifecycle (SDLC) and overall architecture. Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and architecture reviews to identify and mitigate risks. Support the deployment, integration, and tuning of security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and IAM solutions. Monitor emerging threats, technologies, and industry best practices , recommending proactive mitigation strategies. Drive security initiatives and transformation programs , ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards. Assist in incident response activities , including investigation, containment, remediation, and post‑mortem analysis. Document and maintain security configurations, procedures, and technical standards . Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, auditors, and clients to ensure compliance and effective collaboration. Required Qualifications 10–12 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on security engineering, operations, and strategy . Proven experience in securing both application and platform environments (on‑premises and cloud). Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, CIS). Hands‑on experience with security tools and technologies across application, infrastructure, and cloud domains. Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills . Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities . Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence across technical and business teams . Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent (preferred). Preferred Attributes Experience with DevSecOps practices and secure CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of scripting or automation for security operations and reporting. Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements across industries. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
