Senior Inventory Planning Supervisor

Working in a dynamic team to support inventory forecasting and planning. This includes implementing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels, forecasting demand, and taking lead in process improvement initiatives to maximize operational efficiency. You will also collaborate with different stakeholders such as suppliers, buying team and distribution team to ensure effective inventory management in our company. A typical day in this Role: Assist the Supply Chain Manager in managing inventory planning activities, focusing on ensuring stock availability and optimizing stock levels to reduce slow-moving stock. Act as the primary liaison with internal teams, including trading, sales operations, and distribution, to ensure timely reviews of stock levels in stores and warehouses, addressing any availability issues promptly. Evaluate and monitor the performance of key suppliers and logistics partners to maintain high service levels and prevent out-of-stock (OOS) situations. Conduct thorough analyses of sales trends and product performance to enhance demand forecasting accuracy. Candidates will be expected to design a comprehensive workflow for demand forecasting, transforming it from an initial concept to a fully developed process that aligns with inventory levels and meets customer needs. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline inventory management practices, enhancing overall on-shelf availability and reducing excess inventory. Utilize Power BI to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide insights into inventory performance, stock levels, and sales trends, facilitating data-driven decision-making and enhancing dashboard visualization for better stakeholder engagement. Success will depend on: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within the FMCG or retail supermarket industry. Experience with online platforms is welcome. Experience in driving inventory optimization is highly preferred. Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint, along with proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities to effectively manage inventory dynamics and optimize stock levels. Proven ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
